JOHN H. SMITH

John H. Smith is a native New Yorker with deep roots in the Harlem and Long Island Jazz and Roots Music scenes. Raised in a house full of music with influences including Gospel, Classical, Blues and Jazz, John couldn’t help but pursue music. Boasting a robust, swinging sound all his own, Mr Smith is a voice worth attention and a talent not to be missed. John has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, the legendary Apollo and Beacon Theatres, The Red Rooster (Harlem), and nearly every famous Jazz café in New York City including the Blue Note, Showman’s Jazz Club, Fat Cat Club, Dizzy’s Coca-Cola Club, and Patrick’s Place (Harlem) and Jazz venues throughout the country. Please join us for his return performance as a leader at Uncle Cheef! A house favorite and sure fire entertainment, folks.
